Adhesion Prime
A plastic substrate for bonding
Using Adhesion Prime, the metal layer applied on the surface of the PA6.6 profile ensures a secur base for bonding any type of material with glue or silicone.
This allows to bond glass or metal directly to polyamide without the use of fasteners, which are difficult to handle and have poor thermal performance.
And it lasts in time!
In all breaking tests, the substrate is so strong that breakage occurs only on the sealant side, as required by the standards.

Approved for structural bonding
Plastic profiles in PA66 GF 25 and LowLambda Polyamide with Adhesion Prime completed all certifications for structural usage in the US and they are now the only approved plastic profiles for structural bonding according to ASTM standard.
Same profiles are under validation at CSTB according to European standards.
How does it work?
Adhesion Prime is based on Particle Spray Technology.
High pressure spraying is used to deposit a cold layer of metal particles on the surface of thermoplastic profiles, with such strong mechanical adhesion that allows you to customize your further production processes.
The surface of the profiles can be covered totally or partially according to your application needs.
