Heat conductive polypropylene (PP-GR)
- Perfectly suited for challenging heat transfer processes
- Combination of PP and special graphite types for excellent heat conductivity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties
- Processable with Technoform's extrusion process into customized heat transfer solutions
Highly heat conductive
PP-GR offers heat conductivity on a level that was previously only achievable with metallic materials across a operation temperature range of -30°C to 80°C. This is exceptional for a polymer based material and enabled by precisely distributed and oriented graphite particles within a thermoplastic matrix.
Stable and strong
The mechanical and thermal properties of PP-GR combine the best of both worlds, thermoplastics and minerals. PP as base polymer reduces the natural brittleness of graphite and leads to high mechanical resistance. At the same time, the high content of graphite eliminates the undesirable properties of thermoplastics such as high thermal elongation.
Corrosion proof
PP as base polymer is highly resistant to acids, bases, solvents and other corrosive substances across its operation temperature range and for extended periods of time. The high graphite content has a further stabilizing effect, making the compound ideally suited for agressive environments
