Toothbrushes and aluminum fenestration

What do a toothbrush and high-performance aluminum fenestration have in common? They both use polyamide (PA). In toothbrushes, PA is used for the bristles. In high-performance aluminum fenestration, PA is reinforced with glass fibers and used as a thermal barrier to separate the exterior extrusion from the room-side extrusion.
Using aluminum fenestration with wide PA thermal barriers provides significant operational carbon reduction in buildings, which can offset the relatively small EC investment.
