Facade solutions
Forward-facing solutions
Lightweight, durable and stylish, aluminum is frequently the material of choice for the exteriors of office buildings and other large-scale construction projects. A vital element in the drive for intelligent construction, our aluminum facade solutions for external wall insulation help improve the thermal performance of this popular material.
In urban areas with high-rise buildings, thermally separated facades are especially important to ensure efficiency and safety. Thanks to our extensive experience in working with windows and doors, we are able to optimize element facades (exteriors that combine various components and materials in a single element) for full peace of mind. While for stick-facades, we offer polyamide spacers and pressure plates to ensure thermal performance.
Polyamide curtain wall spacers
- Our range of 20 different standard curtain wall spacers are the ideal supplement for new or existing stick curtain wall systems
- Customized designs solutions available to suit individual needs and requirements
Polyamide pressure plates for stick curtain walls
- Our innovative non-aluminum pressure plate system significantly increases thermal performance compared to most traditional aluminum systems: offers best-in-class thermal performance with U-values as low as 1 W/m2K
- Meets or exceeds the most stringent green building codes and standards in the industry today
- Expanding and contracting at a rate similar to aluminum, our polyamide solution delivers long-term durability and water-tightness in a properly assembled profile. It also resists heat distortion and withstands most chemicals
Polyamide thermal break profiles
- High-precision extruded polyamide profiles improve thermal performance of aluminum framed facade systems
- Thermal barriers lower conductivity, reducing the thermal transfer while increasing condensation resistance
- The resulting low U-values allow broad expanses of glass to meet local energy codes and project specifications, contributing to the energy efficiency, appearance and long-term durability of a building
Polyamide glass edge profiles for unitized facades
- Insulating parts made from PA66 GF25 offer an ideal alternative to traditional aluminum glass edge profiles
- Excellent thermal properties of polyamide make it ideally suited to harsh, hot and humid environments where the heat build-up inside the glazed facade surface and the inside of the facade mullions can easily reach over 80 °C (176 °F)
- Directly linking the outer environment to the inner aluminum mullions and transoms, these profiles drastically reduce the Utj (U-Value of the thermal joint), which insulates the energy flow from the outside of the facade to the inside
- Polyamide profiles protect the fragile edges of the glass panels and at the same time hold the EPDM gaskets to ensure the air and water tightness of the facade
